Retractable Screens
Motorized solar and bug screens for the patio and porch, and Lifestyle screens for the garage. Two brands, sold and installed across Clinton County and the Metro East.

Motorized Solar and Bug Screens
A motorized screen lowers from a housing above the opening to shade a patio, porch, or outdoor dining area and keep the bugs out of it. Solar mesh blocks most of the sun's heat and UV; bug mesh stops insects down to the no-see-ums; both roll back up, fully out of sight, at the touch of a remote. It's not a permanent enclosure: the space is open when you want it open and screened when you don't.
The angle for our part of Illinois is July and August. A west-facing patio that's unbearable from three o'clock on becomes shade, and a June evening stops being a mosquito fight. The screens come down when you need them and go up when you don't.
Where They Go
Anywhere there's a roof overhead and weather coming in from the side.
Patios
An open patio with a roof over it is the classic case: drop the screens and it's a room with a view.
Covered porches
Front or back, a screened porch stays usable when the sun is low or the mosquitoes are out.
Outdoor kitchens
Keep the grill and the guests in the shade and away from the bugs without boxing the space in for good.
Restaurant and business patios
Outdoor seating that stays open more days of the year, and retracts fully on the good ones.

Lifestyle Garage Door Screens
A Lifestyle screen is a fully retractable screen door for the garage opening. It works with the garage door you already have: raise the door, lower the screen, and the garage becomes a screened room for a workshop, a workout, the kids on a rainy day, or a Friday night with the door up and the bugs out.
The system is spring loaded, so it opens and closes by hand in a few seconds, and it has its own retractable passage door, so you can walk in and out without lifting the whole screen. Black frames are available, and a white screen option adds daytime privacy and cuts down on UV. Made in the USA.

Sold, Installed, and Serviced by Us
CCGD is an authorized MaestroShield dealer for motorized solar and bug screens, and we sell and install Lifestyle garage door screens. We measure the opening, order the screen to fit it, install it, and stand behind it afterwards. When a motor, a remote, a spring, or a track needs attention, or the screen itself has a problem, the same crew that put it in comes back to fix it.
Screens only: we don't carry MaestroShield's shutters or interior shades. For everything on the garage door itself, see repairs and service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about retractable screens.
Do they really keep the bugs out?
Yes. The mesh is held in its tracks along both sides and the bottom bar sits on the floor, so there's no loose edge for mosquitoes to find. The No-See-Um mesh is woven tight enough to stop the smallest ones. How much sun do they block?
It depends on the fabric. Solar mesh comes in grades that block 80 to 97 percent of the sun's heat; the tighter the weave, the more shade and privacy, and the less you see through from inside. We'll show you samples so you can pick the balance that suits the patio. Can they handle wind?
The screen is held in its tracks along both sides rather than hanging free, so it doesn't flap or blow out in an ordinary wind, and it takes the edge off a breeze across the patio. In severe weather, retract it into the housing. Will they work with the porch I already have?
Usually, yes. The housing and tracks mount to the structure that's already there, whether that's posts, a beam, or the underside of a roof. We measure first, because the size of the opening and what's around it decide the configuration. How are the patio screens controlled?
They're motorized and run from a remote. Lower them for the evening, raise them in the morning, and they roll fully out of sight into the housing when they're up.Does the Lifestyle screen work with my garage door?
It's built to work with the garage door you already have. We measure the opening before we order so the frame fits and nothing interferes with the door.Is the garage screen motorized too?
No. The Lifestyle screen is spring loaded and opens and closes by hand in a few seconds, and its passage door lets you step in and out without moving the whole screen. The MaestroShield patio screens are the motorized ones.Who fixes them if something goes wrong?
We do. We sell, install, and service these screens, including the motors, the remotes, track adjustments, and the screen itself. Call the shop and we'll get it on the schedule. What does a screen cost?
Every screen is measured and quoted individually, because the width of the opening, the configuration, and how it mounts all decide the price. Ask us for an estimate.
Ready to close in the patio?
Tell us about the space and we'll measure it and give you an estimate on a screen.
